Living with memory loss program

The Living with Memory Loss Program is designed for people in the early stage of dementia and their support person (family members or friends).

The two-hour education, information and support workshop is held once a week over six weeks and is followed by monthly ongoing support group meetings.

Participants will have an opportunity to:

  • Obtain information about dementia and have questions answered;
  • Discuss experiences and express feelings in a safe and confidential environment;
  • Focus on maintaining and enhancing skills and abilities; and
  • Explore ways of managing for the present and into the future.

Format
The program is offered in the following formats:

  • Two-hour sessions on a weekly basis (six weeks);
  • Sessions held over two days; or
  • As a retreat (regional clients and younger onset clients only).
