Alzheimer's Australia WA is a not for profit organisation that relies heavily on public donations to continue in our vital work in the community.

Unfunded services
While some of our community education and support programs are funded by the Australian Government, there are other critical service areas that remain unsupported.

These include:

• Services for people diagnosed with younger onset dementia;
• Research into Assistive Technology for people with dementia;
• Our Safe2Walk program that encourages greater independence; and
• Our Art Therapy program for people with dementia.

Our commitment
As part of our role as capacity builders in dementia care, we believe in continually researching and evaluating what we do and developing new programs for people with dementia. Most of these new programs do not receive any funding and rely heavily on community donations.
