This workshop will expose participants to best practice program design and explain the reasons behind the inclusion of each element as it is related to dementia-specific activities in care.  The workshop will culminate in the creation of a permanent communal artwork by the participants.

Julie is currently doing her doctoral research on the relationship between arts, dementia and wellbeing at Victoria University, Melbourne.  Julie is the author of the widely acclaimed MAC.ART program where individuals living in aged care and the community have created 27 major artworks.
