A Valentine's Day to remember

This Valentine’s Day will be very special for Alzheimer’s Australia and a memorable one for our leaders. With your help we want our politicians to put themselves into the shoes of the 1.2 million people who care for someone with dementia. We need them to think about what it would be like if their loved one couldn’t remember them on Valentines Day.

We call on our political leaders to support the Fight Dementia Campaign and invest $500 million over the next 5 years in action that will improve dementia care today and reduce the number of people with dementia in the future.

Alzheimer’s Australia has thousands of Valentine’s Day cards addressed to our political leaders and we would like you to fill one in with your message and encourage your family, friends and colleagues to do the same. You can then either leave the card at the office to be posted or post the card yourself to reach Parliament House in time for Valentine’s Day.

Cards are available from your local Alzheimer’s Australia office. For those who can’t get to a local office, call Alzheimer’s Australia on (02) 6254 4233 and we fill out a card for you or you can order in bulk.

Hitting the streets on Valentine’s Day!

Alzheimer’s Australia staff members and supporters will be in popular spots across Australia handing out Valentine’s Day cards to the local community to raise awareness and to encourage more people to send in a card. If you would like to come down and support us, or just say hi, this is where we will be:

Hobart: Salamanca Square, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Melbourne: Flinders Street Station, 4:00pm - 7:00pm

Perth: Karrinyup Centre, 10:00am - 1:00pm

Sydney: Sesquicentenary Square (Cnr of York St and Barrack St), 10:00am - 2:00pm
