Australian provider of the Hierarchic Dementia Scale

The Heirarchic Dementia Scale (HDS) is a kit designed for health professionals to rate the severity of dementia in a person through a series of tests sensitive enough to detect changes over time.

While not a diagnostic tool, the HDS kit is still useful for both clincians and researchers as it tests a wide range of cognitive functions such as comprehension, orientation, motor skills and remote memory, amongst others.

Each kit costs $500 (incl GST) and is available through Alzheimer's Australia WA.
