These fortnightly support group meetings are a way for carers, family members and friends of people with dementia to form friendships and to discuss common issues. The meetings run throughout the year and include guest speakers who are local health and dementia experts.
Our support groups also enjoy special events such as art days or pampering days, and outings to interesting and relaxing locations such as the Botanic Gardens or South Bank Parklands.
These groups are held at Alzheimer’s Australia (Qld)’s Woolloongabba centre on Thursdays each fortnight (lunch provided, groups run parallel with Leisure Program).
