A workshop held over two days for family carers, family members and friends of people with dementia
A diagnosis of dementia can be difficult to deal with. This workshop will help you to understand and cope with what is happening to a friend or family member who has dementia.
We cover topics such as: What was life like before and what is it like now, what has changed, how to care for yourself, coping mechanisms, relaxation at home, celebrating the present and looking towards the future. Morning tea and lunch are included for each of the two days.
Participants must register through the National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500 to attend this workshop. Please do not register online for this event.
