Full or half day workshop for health care professionals

Sessions topics include:

Morning session:

Understanding dementia - You will learn about the most common causes, symptoms, pathology and progression of dementia. The impact on the person from a practical perspective will be  explored, and the basics of quality dementia care discussed.

Afternoon session:

Communicating with a person living with dementia - You will gain an understanding of the impact of dementia on communication and examine effective ways to communicate with, and engage, a person living with dementia.
