Some people living with dementia say every moment of their day becomes a conscious effort as they become unable to hold onto new information, become slower in speech, less able to make quick decisions or become readily confused.
However they still want to communicate, be listened to and treated no differently to how they always have been.
At Alzheimer’s Australia Vic we support people living with dementia, their loved ones and carers. We help people take control of their personal situation by giving them strategies to understand changes in their lives, as they face their dementia journey.
