In order of left to right: Katie with grandmother (Pat) and sister (Natalie)

On the 3rd September, Katie Millar will begin a 2,000 kilometre walk across France and Spain. Katie has allowed three months to complete the walk but hopes to be finished in just two and a half. The walk will commence in Le Puy, France and finish up on the coast of Spain at a town called Finisterra.

Katie’s inspiration for raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s is her Grandmother and the support her family has received from Alzheimer’s Australia.

It’s her way of showing their appreciation.

“My grandmother is suffering from Alzheimer’s and as a thanks to the support Alzheimer’s Australia has given us, I’d like to raise some money in return.”

Katie’s support enables Alzheimer's Australia to increase the level of research into dementia care, prevention and cure and gives hope to people with dementia, their families and carers.

You can support Katie’s cause by donating to Alzheimer's Australia.
