People with a diagnosis of dementia can feel isolated and frightened thinking that they will be alone on the journey ahead. But nobody needs to make this journey unsupported. There are many services and supports available - the key is to find out about them.
Over the course of the day participants will share the perspectives of a person with dementia and of a carer, as well as hearing from a range of speakers from various services, respite care organisations, and residential care facilities. This is an opportunity for anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding about certain aspects of the dementia journey.
