The aims of this session are to provide an understanding of how the memory works and how the memory changes through normal ageing and dementia.
We have different types of memory and these change as we age but dementia is not a normal part of getting older. Instead, dementia is a term used to describe a large number of complex disease states that damage the brain and impair functioning.
Memory, ageing and dementia will be explored in this session.
