What is an Ambassador?
An Ambassador is a high profile person in the community that helps Alzheimer’s Australia to raise public awareness and understanding of dementia and the growing impact on the community. An Ambassador is a champion of the organisation and will advocate for and speak on behalf of people with dementia, their carers, families and members of Alzheimer's Australia.
Ambassadors are able to attend events and speak on behalf of the organisation to promote dialogue about important issues that surround dementia. Ambassadors are voluntary positions and are an important role in giving back to the community.
How do I become one?
If you would like to donate some time to help promote awareness and advocate for Alzheimer’s Australia please contact the National Marketing and Communication Officer. Or to become a State or Territory Ambassador please contact your local Marketing and Communications Manager.
